Website Status: Work in Progress

While the website is officially live, it is still a work in progress as we digitize, expand, and refine our records. Here is a look at what has been completed so far, what is currently underway, and what is coming next:

What’s Completed

• The Homer Family History Book: Digitized the complete index and table of contents with direct, clickable links to individual family members.
• Stories & Records: Added the full narrative history and stories for the individuals listed.
• Family Photographs: Sourced and uploaded historical photos to accompany each person’s story.
• Added a Modern Homer History section

Current Focus

• The Homer Ancestral History Volume II.
• Historical Context: Adding hyperlinks to significant historical events that occurred on the specific dates mentioned in our family stories.
• Deep-Dive Links: Connecting locations, external figures, and major historical events within the stories to external reference websites.
• Fact-Checking & Readability: Using AI tools to cross-reference and correct historical inaccuracies, while simultaneously cleaning up the formatting for a smoother reading experience.
• Updating the Modern Homer History section.
